Senior Accountant

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and post journal entries for complex accounting transactions.
• Review and monitor financial transactions to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with policies.
• Research and resolve intricate accounting issues and ensure adherence to internal controls and US GAAP (or country-specific accounting principles).
• Support multi-functional teams and contribute to project management efforts to optimize financial workflows.
• Collaborate across departments to ensure accurate financial reporting and process alignment.

Skills:

• Strong knowledge of general accounting principles, US GAAP, internal controls, and financial analysis.
• Experience handling complex accounting transactions and variance analysis.
• Experience working in cross-functional teams and contributing to process improvement projects.
• Proven ability to research and resolve complex accounting issues.
• Proficient in financial applications, spreadsheets (Excel), and ERP systems.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field
• Professional certifications (optional but preferred): CPA, ACCA, CMA, or equivalent.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or related roles.
• Experience with complex accounting transactions and financial reporting.
• Prior exposure to US GAAP or country-specific accounting principles.
