Positional Overview:
The Accountant is responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, ensuring statutory compliance, and supporting financial decision-making. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and budget management. The Accountant will oversee day-to-day bookkeeping, manage financial transactions, and support audit and compliance processes.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain ledgers, journals, and financial statements.
- Record financial transactions, verify entries, and resolve discrepancies.
- Manage the daily operations of the accounting department.
- Handle accounts payable/receivable, cash receipts, and general ledger.
- Ensure timely filing of GST & IT returns and compliance with tax regulations.
- Monitor and analyze accounting data to produce financial statements and reports.
- Conduct revenue and expenditure variance analysis.
- Liaise with auditors, company secretaries, banks, and other financial institutions.
