Accountant – Accounts Payable

Position Overview

Halliburton is seeking an Accountant – Accounts Payable to join its Finance team in Bengaluru. This entry-level role provides exposure to general accounting, financial analysis, internal controls, and reporting. You will gain hands-on experience with accounting processes while contributing to one of the world’s largest providers of products and services to the global energy industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Understand company business systems, processes, policies, and controls within the assigned department.

• Prepare accounting reports and analyses, using spreadsheets or applications, and resolve accounting issues.

• Record and process journal vouchers for accounting transactions.

• Research and resolve basic accounting issues while ensuring compliance with internal controls.

• Support moderately complex aspects of general accounting, financial reporting, forecasting, and internal controls.

• Contribute to financial applications and develop industry-specific accounting proficiency.

Skills & Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field.

• Minimum of 9 months of experience in accounting-related roles.

• Knowledge of US GAAP or relevant country-specific accounting principles.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Familiarity with financial systems and reporting tools.
