Accounts Assistant

Positional Overview:

An Accounts Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting financial and auditing operations within an organization. The role involves handling accounting tasks, assisting in audits, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and maintaining accurate financial records. The ideal candidate should have a strong foundation in accounting principles and be proficient in financial software such as SAP and Tally.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in daily accounting operations, including bookkeeping, ledger maintenance, and bank reconciliations.
• Support the preparation of financial statements, reports, and tax filings.
• Assist in internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with financial policies and regulations.
• Conduct data entry and transaction processing in accounting software (SAP/Tally).
• Verify invoices, receipts, and other financial documents for accuracy and completeness.
• Help in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, and other financial regulations.
• Coordinate with auditors, vendors, and other stakeholders as required.
• Maintain confidentiality and accuracy in handling financial records.

Skills:

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in SAP and Tally for accounting and financial management.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve financial discrepancies.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in financial data management.
• Knowledge of GST, TDS, and other tax regulations.
• Good communication and teamwork skills to coordinate with auditors and financial teams.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial tools.

Qualifications:

• Education: B.Com (Bachelor of Commerce)
• Additional Certifications: SAP, Tally (Mandatory)
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years in accounting or auditing roles.
