Position Overview:
We seek a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Assistant to support our finance department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in general accounting practices, proficiency in ERP or cloud-based accounting software, and excellent communication skills in English.
Responsibilities:
- Manage daily accounting tasks, including accounts receivable and payable, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial regulations.\
- Prepare daily, weekly, monthly, and annual financial reports, including income and expense forecasts, to assist in strategic decision-making.
- Handle VAT/GST and corporate tax filings, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
- Calculate and process payroll, maintaining confidentiality and accuracy in employee compensation.
- Engage directly with clients and suppliers via email and phone to manage accounts, resolve discrepancies, and maintain positive relationships.
- Create proposals, quotations, and invoices, ensuring all financial documents are accurate and professionally presented.
- Work collaboratively with the finance team and other departments to support company objectives and financial health.
Skills:
- Strong expertise in ERP or cloud-based accounting systems, with the ability to manage financial transactions, generate reports, and ensure data accuracy.
- Exceptional accuracy in handling financial records, reconciling accounts, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities in English, essential for liaising with team members, stakeholders, and clients.
- A solid understanding of accounting standards, practices, and procedures, including bookkeeping, accounts payable/receivable, and financial reporting.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting roles, preferably within the B2B service sector.
- Proficiency in ERP or cloud-based accounting software and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- High level of accuracy in financial data entry and reporting.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team and make decisions that benefit the company.
