Assistant Finance Manager

Position Overview:

The assistant finance manager supports the day-to-day execution of general ledger-impacted processes, including helping clients as they work with and understand them. The assistant finance manager performs accounting functions specifically in the areas of account balancing, ledger reconciliation, reporting, and discrepancy resolution.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinates and implements accounting work and projects as assigned.
• Coordinates, implements, and follows up on Accounting SOP audits for all areas of the property.
• Achieves and exceeds goals, including performance goals, budget goals, team goals, etc.
• Develops specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish your work.
• Demonstrates knowledge of job-relevant issues, products, systems, and processes.
• Demonstrates knowledge of return check procedures.
• Utilizes interpersonal and communication skills to lead, influence, and encourage others.
• Motivates and provides a work environment where employees are productive.
• Provides information to supervisors, co-workers, and subordinates by telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person.

• Ability to lead and motivate a team, provide guidance, delegate tasks, and maintain a productive work environment.
• Strong capacity to analyze financial data, evaluate results, and apply solutions to resolve issues effectively.
• Precision in managing financial data, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and producing accurate reports and audits.
• Ability to communicate effectively with various teams, stakeholders, and clients, ensuring clarity in financial matters and fostering strong relationships.

Qualifications:

• A 4-year bachelor’s degree in Finance and Accounting or a related major requires no work experience.
  OR
• 2-year degree from an accredited university in Finance and Accounting or related major.
• 2 years of experience in finance and accounting or a related professional area.
