Position Overview
Goldman Sachs is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Finance Analyst – Procure to Pay (P2P) to join its Spend Management team. The role focuses on delivering commercial value and front-to-back cost transparency across the firm. This position involves close collaboration with divisional leadership, global counterparts, and senior professionals to analyze, forecast, and optimize operational expenses. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commercial mindset, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently while contributing to strategic financial initiatives.
Key Responsibilities

Partner with divisional leadership to understand business drivers and initiatives.

Manage non-revenue divisions’ operating expenses, including ownership of spend, month-end reviews, and quarterly/yearly analysis.

Collaborate with leadership and product owners across the firm to analyze and forecast spend.

Prepare budgets and take ownership of budgeting and reforecasting cycles; assist with senior leadership presentations.

Lead initiatives to leverage technology and automate processes within P2P operations.

Prepare and analyze reports related to expense allocation and cost correctness.

Conduct variance analysis of budgets versus actuals for multiple expense lines.

Collaborate with business units to estimate monthly expenses and allocation to revenue divisions.

Ensure accuracy of the General Ledger through review of month-end closures.

Maintain departmental hierarchy in multiple systems and ensure compliance with internal standards.
Skills & Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with an excellent academic record.

Experience: 2–4 years in finance, accounting, or business management, preferably within P2P functions.

Technical Knowledge:
-
Familiarity with Accounts Payable products such as Ariba Guided Buying/Buying and Invoicing, S4, FieldGlass, SLP, TeamConnect.

End-to-end understanding of P2P functions (Vendor Management, Invoice Processing, Tax, Accounting Control, Payment Reconciliation).

Strong analytical and financial modeling abilities.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to lead team members and drive assignments to completion.

Multi-tasking and ability to perform under pressure.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
