Financial Analyst

Position Overview

We are looking for a highly analytical and detail-oriented Financial Analyst to join our dynamic team in a leading MEP and construction firm. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting strategic decision-making by focusing on project costing, sales performance evaluation, and profitability analysis. Your insights will directly contribute to financial optimization and business growth.

Key Responsibilities

Costing & Budget Analysis

• Analyze direct and indirect project costs to ensure accurate costing and pricing strategies.

• Evaluate cost variances and recommend corrective measures.

• Assist in the preparation and monitoring of project and departmental budgets.

Sales & Revenue Analysis

• Track sales trends and gross margins by product, customer, and business segment.

• Prepare sales performance dashboards and monthly management reports.

• Support sales forecasting and planning processes.

Project Financial Analysis

• Monitor project financial performance, including cost-to-complete and budget vs. actual analysis.

• Conduct post-project profitability reviews.

• Collaborate with project teams to align outcomes with financial targets.

Reporting & Insights

• Develop financial models to assess investments and cost-saving opportunities.

• Prepare detailed financial reports and presentations for senior management.

• Assist with month-end closing and management reporting activities.

Collaboration & Compliance

• Work closely with project managers, procurement, and operations to gather accurate financial data.

• Ensure compliance with internal controls, audit standards, and financial policies.

Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (MBA, CMA, or CPA preferred).

• Minimum 3 years of experience in financial analysis or auditing, ideally in a project-based or construction environment.

• Strong knowledge of costing methodologies and financial modeling.

• Proficiency in MS Excel, Power BI, and ERP systems (SAP or Oracle preferred).

• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

• Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities effectively.
