Finance Operations Specialist

Position Overview:

As a Finance Operations Specialist, you will play a vital role in driving our core financial processes, ensuring compliance with tax regulations, and maintaining accurate accounting records. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute directly to the financial backbone of a high-growth fintech company and work on real-time operational and compliance challenges.

This role is ideal for candidates with a strong accounting background, hands-on experience in reconciliation, GST, TDS, and tax compliance, and a desire to work in a high-impact, dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage daily, weekly, and monthly financial reconciliations to ensure data accuracy across systems.

• Prepare and file monthly and quarterly GST returns; ensure timely reconciliation of input and output taxes.

• Calculate, deduct, and file TDS returns; monitor statutory deadlines for tax compliance.

• Assist in preparing income tax computations, advance tax calculations, and related filings.

• Record day-to-day financial transactions and ensure accuracy and completeness in the accounting system.

• Support month-end and year-end close activities, including ledger finalization and reporting.

• Collaborate with external auditors, consultants, and internal stakeholders for audits and financial compliance.

• Maintain structured documentation of all financial and tax records.

• Track accounts payable and receivable; assist with vendor and customer account management.

• Stay updated on the latest tax laws, accounting standards, and compliance requirements.

Required Skills:

• In-depth knowledge of general accounting, reconciliation, TDS, GST, and statutory reporting.

• Strong understanding of Indian taxation laws and compliance obligations.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting tools/software.

• Detail-oriented with strong analytical, organizational, and documentation skills.

• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple responsibilities.

• Effective verbal and written communication for cross-team collaboration.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance (CA Inter or M.Com is a plus).

• 3–4 years of experience in accounting, tax compliance, or financial operations.

• Demonstrated experience in managing GST, TDS, and income tax compliance.

• Exposure to financial audits and working with fintech or SaaS-based organizations is preferred.
