Position Overview
As a Payroll Specialist at Halliburton, you will be a key member of the payroll operations team, responsible for ensuring accurate and compliant payroll processing across multiple jurisdictions. This senior-level position requires strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to manage complex payroll projects. You will act as a subject matter expert (SME), supporting both internal teams and leadership in streamlining processes and maintaining high standards of compliance and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities

Process employee payrolls, including data gathering, accounting, internal reporting, and remittance of applicable wages and taxes.

Stay updated on prevailing wage-hour and payroll tax laws for all relevant jurisdictions.

Manage complex payroll-related projects, ensuring proper documentation for reports, audits, and filings.

Prepare and maintain documentation in support of internal controls and process guidelines.

Analyze, reconcile, and resolve a wide range of payroll issues effectively.

Serve as a Subject Matter Expert to provide guidance and resolution for complex queries and issues.

Support leadership during peak volume periods to ensure timely payroll delivery.

Provide peer training to new team members and promote best practices.

Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve operational efficiency.
Skills & Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

Experience: Minimum of 4 years of relevant payroll experience, preferably in a multinational or large-scale organization.

Strong understanding of payroll accounting, tax regulations, and compliance requirements.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver accurate results under tight deadlines.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Proven ability to provide guidance, training, and process improvement recommendations.
