Responsibilities:

  • Process day-to-day financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including invoices, expense reports, and reimbursements.
  • Handle Petty cash floats and proper bookkeeping of reimbursed expenses.
  • Reconcile financial discrepancies and investigate any variances or issues to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities, including preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts, and clearing from SAP.
  • Process policyholder and vendor payments through effective usage of the SAP system.
  • Support the budgeting and forecasting process by providing financial data, analyzing trends, and preparing reports.
  • Assist with the preparation of audit documentation and provide support during internal and external audits.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and relevant regulations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as Purchasing, Sales, and Operations, to resolve financial-related queries and provide support as needed.
  • Undertake a range of clerical, administrative, and other duties as required to support the team.
  • Stay updated on changes in accounting regulations and best practices to ensure compliance and recommend process improvements.

 

Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional certifications (e.g., CPA, ACCA) are a plus.
  • Minimum three years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably in a similar role. Experience with computerized accounting systems is desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and procedures. Familiarity with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
  • Excellent mathematical and analytical skills, with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in using accounting software, SAP, and MS Office applications, particularly Excel.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information with integrity.
  • Proactive and self-motivated, with a willingness to learn and adapt to new processes and systems.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues and propose practical solutions.
