Responsibilities:
- Process day-to-day financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
- Prepare and maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including invoices, expense reports, and reimbursements.
- Handle Petty cash floats and proper bookkeeping of reimbursed expenses.
- Reconcile financial discrepancies and investigate any variances or issues to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities, including preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts, and clearing from SAP.
- Process policyholder and vendor payments through effective usage of the SAP system.
- Support the budgeting and forecasting process by providing financial data, analyzing trends, and preparing reports.
- Assist with the preparation of audit documentation and provide support during internal and external audits.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and relevant regulations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as Purchasing, Sales, and Operations, to resolve financial-related queries and provide support as needed.
- Undertake a range of clerical, administrative, and other duties as required to support the team.
- Stay updated on changes in accounting regulations and best practices to ensure compliance and recommend process improvements.
Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional certifications (e.g., CPA, ACCA) are a plus.
- Minimum three years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably in a similar role. Experience with computerized accounting systems is desirable.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and procedures. Familiarity with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
- Excellent mathematical and analytical skills, with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in using accounting software, SAP, and MS Office applications, particularly Excel.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information with integrity.
- Proactive and self-motivated, with a willingness to learn and adapt to new processes and systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues and propose practical solutions.
