AP Payment Analyst

Position Overview

CGI, one of the world’s largest IT and business consulting services firms, is looking for an AP Payment Analyst (Accounting) to join its Finance team in Bangalore. The ideal candidate will manage European card transactions, oversee retailer reimbursements, and ensure the accuracy of payment settlements. This role involves close collaboration with Accounts Payable, Controllers, and cross-functional teams to uphold financial accuracy, compliance, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Process and reconcile European card transactions with precision and timeliness.

• Manage retailer reimbursements and ensure settlement systems operate effectively.

• Support Accounts Payable (AP) operations by preparing and posting journal entries.

• Handle TPIs/TPAs payments, ensuring compliance with internal policies and accounting standards.

• Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies in a proactive manner.

• Perform month-end closings, account reconciliations, and financial reviews.

• Collaborate with Controllers and finance teams to maintain transaction integrity.

• Participate in system testing, process improvement initiatives, and ad-hoc financial projects.

• Ensure adherence to audit and compliance standards throughout all payment and accounting processes.

Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce.

• Strong understanding of accounting principles and payment processing.

• Proficiency in SAP and MS Excel is essential.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

• Ability to work effectively with global teams in a fast-paced environment.

• Familiarity with tools like Account Info Service & Provider, Account Management, and IDMS is preferred.
