The Financial Analyst supports specific business functions through budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis, and is primarily responsible for data modeling including report maintenance and development, identifying risks and opportunities, and working with expense owners to achieve operational objectives while adhering to financial targets.
Responsibilities
- Revenue
- Quarterly forecasting + SRP + MRP
- Revenue by client + client list publishing
- Churn review.
- Implementation project Go Live and Kick off tracking.
- Client profitability report.
- Ad-hoc projects.
- Concept of margins
- Relating billable hours and effort to the subsequent revenue streams, and understanding the margin impact
- Expense side for Implementation function
- Monthly MBR
- Monthly explanation vs latest forecast
- Business Partnering with various APJ leaders.
- Strong collaboration with NA analysts / FP&A team leaders
- Quarterly Forecast, MBR, and LRP inputs
- Strong management of FTE and hiring plan vs forecast
- Optimization of Cost Centre
- Development of reporting on earned rates, utilization, project timeframe, etc.
- Periodic Variance Analysis & commentary
Qualifications
- Minimum 5+ years of experience of working in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience of working with very senior stakeholders.
- Qualification: Qualified CA/CFA/CMA/MBA.
- Strong attention to detail, data integrity and accuracy.
- Strong proficiency in MS Excel & MS PowerPoint
- Exposure to PowerBI or Access is preferred.
- Ability to self-manage, work effectively under pressure, and meet strict deadlines along with ability to work in bigger teams.
- Process-improvement mindset and oriented towards constantly looking for ways to make things more efficient and less manual.
- KPI creation and digesting the data to inform up-stream business decision making.
